NLEX wins Governors Cup game over Phoenix

The NLEX Road Warriors maintained their unbeaten record in the PBA Season 49 Governors' Cup with a narrow victory over the Phoenix Fuel Masters by a score of 100-95 on Sunday at Araneta Coliseum.

Despite scoring only 11 points, Robert Bolick's reduced offensive presence did not hinder NLEX as import Myke Henry led the team with 37 points, nine rebounds, five assists, and four steals to secure the win.

Phoenix made a strong second-half comeback but ultimately fell short despite taking an 87-84 lead late in the game, with veteran guard RR Garcia scoring 18 points including two key shots from beyond the arc.

Despite squandering a 23-point halftime lead and Bolick's off night, NLEX showed endgame poise to secure their second straight win and improve to 2-0 in Group B while Phoenix dropped to 0-2.

Henry emphasized his role as an offensive savior when needed, making the right plays and punishing mismatches on defense.
