NLEX edges San Miguel 112-108 in overtime, improves to solo second place

NLEX secured a 112-108 overtime victory over San Miguel in the PBA Season 49 Governors' Cup on Saturday night in Cagayan de Oro, improving to solo second place in Group B with a 3-1 record.

Despite holding a 98-93 lead late in the fourth quarter, NLEX faced a deadlock after CJ Perez and Jordan Adams helped San Miguel tie the game with just 1.7 seconds remaining.

Robbie Herndon's crucial three-pointer with 28.2 seconds left in overtime gave NLEX a decisive 110-106 lead, while Robert Bolick sealed the win with two free throws as San Miguel missed their attempts from beyond the arc.

Myke Henry led NLEX with a double-double of 33 points, six rebounds, and four assists, contributing significantly to the team's victory.

San Miguel dropped to third place at 2-2 following a second consecutive loss.
