NCR's COVID-19 reproduction rate falls to 0.52

NCR's COVID-19 reproduction rate fell from 0.63 on January 26 to 0.52 on January 27, indicating a downward trend.

Rizal improved to 'moderate risk' classification while NCR, Batangas, Cavite, Laguna, and Quezon remain at high risk.

As of January 27, Rizal had the lowest reproduction rate in Calabarzon at 0.69, with Quezon having the highest at 1.35.

OCTA fellow Dr. Guido David noted that a reproduction number below 1 indicates slowing virus transmission.
