Año: Public cooperation key to lowering NCR alert level

Interior Secretary Eduardo Año says cooperation from the public is key to lowering the National Capital Region's alert level status.

The region was placed under Alert Level 3 on January 3 due to an increase in Omicron cases, but it may be downgraded to Alert Level 2 starting February 1.

DILG Undersecretary Epimaco Densing III says a new alert level classification for the country may be announced Sunday afternoon based on the average daily attack rate (ADAR) in Metro Manila.

As of now, Metro Manila mayors have yet to make a recommendation on the alert level classification for February 1.
