NCR's COVID-19 positivity rate spikes to 9.2%, hospitals unaffected

The National Capital Region's (NCR) COVID-19 positivity rate has increased to 9.2%, according to OCTA Research.

Despite this increase, private hospitals in NCR have not yet seen an uptick in hospital utilization rates due to mild symptoms associated with current coronavirus subvariants.

OCTA fellow Dr. Guido David warns that unless trends change, another wave of infections similar to June's could start in NCR.

As of November 23, the DOH reported 703 new COVID-19 cases and a national positivity rate of 11.4%. The highest number of new cases were recorded in NCR, Tarlac, Cavite, Cebu, Iloilo, and Laguna.
