NCR's COVID-19 Positivity Rate Decreases but May Plateau

The positivity rate for COVID-19 in the National Capital Region (NCR) decreased to 7.4 percent as of November 15, according to OCTA Research.

OCTA fellow Dr. Guido David noted that while this is a slight decrease from 7.8 percent on November 8, the rate of decline has slowed, indicating a potential plateau.

David also pointed out that there is a possibility of an uptick in cases and warned that less than a 5% positivity rate may not be achievable if the trend continues as it is.

The reproduction number in NCR increased from 0.83 to 1.02 during this period, suggesting potential growth in transmission.
