NCRPO deploys over 68K police for post-Holy Week safety

The National Capital Region Police Office (NCRPO) assured that security operations would continue as travelers return to Metro Manila after the Holy Week break.

Measures are in place to ensure safety and order at transport hubs and major thoroughfares during this transition period, with an additional deployment of 8,000 police personnel bringing the total number of deployed officers to over 68,000.

Regional Director Police Major General Anthony Aberin emphasized that the NCRPO is prepared with assistance desks, visibility patrols, and coordination with local governments and transport terminals.

Aberin urged the public to remain vigilant and cooperative, reporting any suspicious activity to established hotlines and police help desks.

Aside from police personnel, around 1,700 enforcers of the Land Transportation Office (LTO) will remain on major thoroughfares nationwide to assist motorists and enforce traffic rules.
