NCR, 7 provinces under Alert Level 2 starting Feb 1

The Inter-Agency Task Force for the Management of Emerging Infectious Diseases (IATF-EID) has placed the National Capital Region and seven provinces back under Alert Level 2 starting February 1.

Alert Level 2 allows certain establishments and activities at 50% capacity indoors for fully vaccinated adults and minors, and 70% capacity outdoors.

The 'no vaccination, no ride' policy in Metro Manila will be suspended, allowing unvaccinated individuals to use public transport again.

Provinces under Alert Level 3 include the Cordillera Administrative Region (CAR), Ilocos Region, Cagayan Valley, Central Luzon, Calabarzon, Mimaropa, Bicol, Western Visayas, Central Visayas, Eastern Visayas, Zamboanga Peninsula, Northern Mindanao, Davao, Soccsksargen, Caraga, and the Bangsamoro Autonomous Region in Muslim Mindanao.
