Duterte denies role in NBI probe vs Sotto

President Rodrigo Duterte denied involvement in the NBI's move against Pasig City Mayor Vico Sotto.

Duterte said he does not interfere with NBI operations and that it is their responsibility to enforce laws.

The NBI summoned Sotto for allegedly violating a memorandum issued by Executive Secretary Salvador Medialdea, which banned mass transport during the enhanced community quarantine.

Sotto allowed tricycles to continue operating in Pasig despite the ban, leading to an investigation for possible violations of both the memorandum and the Bayanihan to Heal as One Act.
