Sandro accuses parents' friends of abuse; senators split on action

Actor Niño's son Sandro has accused his parents' friends Nones and Cruz of sexual abuse. Niño testified at a hearing where he said the two apologized to him but not to Sandro directly.

Senator Jinggoy Estrada is pushing for Nones and Cruz to be subpoenaed, while Senator Bong Revilla believes it's sensitive and should be handled carefully.

GMA Network maintains that they do not condone or tolerate sexual abuse or harassment, despite the accused being independent contractors.

Sandro has been undergoing psychological assessment by the National Bureau of Investigation (NBI) Behavioral Science Division to limit public exposure due to trauma.
