Senate panel probes GMA artist harassment case

The Senate committee on public information and mass media, at the request of its chairperson Senator Robin Padilla, will investigate a sexual harassment case involving a GMA artist.

During Monday's plenary session, Padilla emphasized the need for transparency in uncovering the truth behind the incident without naming specific individuals or confirming evidence against GMA Network Inc.

GMA Network confirmed its cooperation with Padilla’s committee and will send a representative to provide information.

The investigation aims to ensure clarity and accountability regarding the incident, which gained public attention following viral posts alleging misconduct by consultants hired by the network.

Senator Robin Padilla stated that there is no confirmation of evidence against GMA-7, but stressed the importance of clear and transparent explanations from the mass media committee on what transpired.
