MRT-3 resumes ops; bans talking inside trains

The MRT-3 resumed operations on Monday, July 13, after suspending services for six days due to COVID-19 testing of personnel.

Operations began with 12 CKD trains and two Dalian trains, running at nine-minute intervals.

First trains departed North Avenue and Taft Avenue stations at 5:30 a.m., with the last train leaving at 9:10 p.m. from North Avenue and 10:11 p.m. from Taft Avenue.

To prevent viral transmission, talking inside trains is now prohibited, including making or receiving phone calls.

MRT-3 will operate on limited capacity starting Monday, with 12 train sets deployed throughout the day and 90 buses for additional support.
