MRT3, LRT1 ban speaking and phone use to curb COVID-19

The MRT3 and LRT1 have implemented new guidelines to prevent the spread of COVID-19 among commuters.

MRT3 has banned speaking and answering phone calls inside trains, while LRT1 prohibits passengers from talking inside the wagons.

LRMC Corporate Communications head Jacqueline Gorospe noted that some LRT1 passengers continue to remove their masks when they have to answer their phones, which poses a risk for virus transmission.
