MMDA advises motorists on road reblocking, repairs in Metro Manila from March 15-26; warns of traffic disruptions

The Metropolitan Manila Development Authority (MMDA) advised motorists to seek alternative routes due to road reblocking and repairs scheduled for this weekend.

Starting at 11 p.m. on March 15 and continuing until 5 a.m. on March 18, the Department of Public Works and Highways (DPWH) will conduct work in various areas of Metro Manila, including Taft Avenue cor. Pedro Gil, EDSA in Makati and Caloocan City, and parts of Balintawak Footbridge.

Additionally, road repairs are set to begin at 10 p.m. on March 15 and continue until 5 a.m. on March 22 along West Avenue and the Batasan-Commonwealth Tunnel in Quezon City.

Nighttime asphalt overlay activities will also take place from March 15 to March 26 on Aurora Boulevard westbound and Kamias Road.

Motorists are further warned of possible traffic slowdowns along the Port Area in Manila to Camp Aguinaldo in Quezon City due to road closures caused by the transportation of the Metro Manila Subway Project's Tunnel Boring Machine (TBM) from 9 p.m. on March 15 to 4 a.m. on March 17.

The affected roads will be fully passable by 5 a.m. on Monday, March 18.
