MMDA announces major road closures in Metro Manila for repairs, March 8-11

The Metropolitan Manila Development Authority (MMDA) announced road reblocking and repairs along major Metro Manila roads starting Friday night, March 8, until early Monday morning, March 11.

Pedro Gil Street corner Taft Avenue in Manila City, EDSA from J.P. Rizal Avenue to Orense in Makati City, and several lanes of Main Avenue in Quezon City will be closed during this period.

Specifically, the closures include the second lane of Pedro Gil Street near Taft Avenue; Edsa southbound's third lane from the sidewalk from J.P. Rizal Avenue to Orense; Edsa northbound's fifth lane from the sidewalk from Don Vicente Ang Street to Gen. Mascardo Street in Caloocan City; and various lanes of Main Avenue across SM Supermarket, Briella Salon, and near Minabel Building.

Motorists are advised to use alternative routes as all affected roads will reopen by 5 a.m. on Monday, March 11.

The Department of Public Works and Highways (DPWH) is responsible for the road repairs, which aim to improve infrastructure in Metro Manila.
