Metro Manila mayors keep stay-at-home policy for minors

Metro Manila mayors have decided to maintain the stay-at-home policy for minors up to 17 years old.

The decision was based on recommendations from pediatric experts who noted that minors can be asymptomatic carriers of COVID-19 due to their strong immune systems, potentially unknowingly transmitting the virus.

Essential travel such as medical appointments and grocery shopping is still allowed for all ages with adherence to health protocols.

On November 30, Interior and Local Government Secretary Eduardo Ano had previously announced that minors could go to malls accompanied by parents, but this was not adopted by Metro Manila mayors.
