Metro mayors wait for experts' advice before allowing kids in malls

Metro Manila mayors have decided to wait for recommendations from children's health experts before allowing minors into malls.

Quezon City Mayor Joy Belmonte said this decision was made during meetings of the Metro Manila Council after Interior Secretary Eduardo Año’s remarks on December 1, suggesting that areas under general community quarantine might soon allow minors in malls with their parents.

The council has requested an official statement from the Philippine Pediatric Society and the Pediatric Infectious Disease Society of the Philippines to base their decision on scientific data.
