Midwife dies from COVID-19 after first vaccine dose

A midwife in San Mateo, Isabela died from COVID-19 thirteen days after receiving her first dose of the vaccine.

The Department of Health (DOH) stated there is no evidence to suggest that the vaccine caused her death and emphasized that vaccines cannot cause coronavirus infection.

At least fifteen other individuals at the Rural Health Unit also tested positive for COVID-19, including some healthcare workers who have received the vaccine.
