Metro Manila LGUs begin vaccinating seniors and those with comorbidities

Several local governments in Metro Manila began vaccinating persons with comorbidities and senior citizens amid a surge in COVID-19 cases.

Pasig City vaccinated over 11,000 residents using the AstraZeneca shot, while Navotas used Sinovac doses for those with comorbidities.

Manila temporarily halted vaccinations for seniors due to running out of AstraZeneca doses and awaiting FDA approval for Sinovac use in this age group.

Quezon City reserved its remaining 2,000 AstraZeneca vaccines for senior citizens while waiting for more supplies.
