MIAA: 3 airport police test positive for COVID-19

Three airport police officers at Ninoy Aquino International Airport tested positive for COVID-19, according to MIAA general manager Ed Monreal on Thursday.

One officer has already tested negative in a secondary test while another has also tested negative but is awaiting clearance from their local government.

Monreal emphasized that safety measures such as wearing face masks and personal protective equipment (PPE) are being strictly enforced.

Airport operations have been significantly reduced due to travel restrictions, with passenger and commercial flights suspended since May 3.
