Marcos urges reflection on All Saints', Souls' Days

President Ferdinand 'Bongbong' Marcos Jr. urged Filipinos on Friday to remember those who paved the way for present prosperity as the country commemorates All Saints' Day and All Souls' Day.

Marcos encouraged Filipino Catholics to reflect on the lives of those who have passed, emphasizing the importance of living with love and compassion for others and striving towards virtues such as compassion, kindness, and humility.

He highlighted that these days are a time for strengthening spiritual bonds not only with the divine but also among Filipinos themselves, urging them to spend time with families and loved ones visiting departed family members' resting places.

The president emphasized the occasion is an opportune moment to fortify our bond for the betterment of our spiritual life, expressing deep gratitude for their impact on our lives and remembering those who led lives of honor, sacrifice, and service.

Thousands of Filipinos went back to their hometowns this week to celebrate the twin holidays with their families and vote for village and youth elections.
