Marcos orders DILG to set up emergency hospitals and deliver aid for STS Kristine victims

President Ferdinand 'Bongbong' Marcos Jr. ordered the Department of the Interior and Local Government to establish emergency field hospitals and deliver medicines to areas affected by Severe Tropical Storm Kristine, including Naga City.

Secretary Juanito Victor 'Jonvic' Remulla said that Marcos personally instructed him to prepare for immediate deployment of medical aid as soon as conditions improve, briefing the President on Thursday with critical updates from the ground.

Remulla emphasized that the President's directives include rescuing those in danger and providing relief to all affected areas while restoring basic services.

The Secretary assured the public, particularly the residents of Bicol, that the national government will mobilize all resources to support local governments struggling with the aftermath of the storm.

Marcos previously committed to supplying rubber boats for rescue operations in the Bicol Region, responding to a request from former Vice President Leni Robredo.
