Marcos distributes over 15K hectares of land to agrarian reform beneficiaries

President Ferdinand R. Marcos Jr. announced on Monday that over 15,000 hectares of land have been distributed to approximately 9,000 agrarian reform beneficiaries this year.

At a ceremony in Tacloban City, the President personally issued more than 5,438 Certificates of Land Ownership Awards (CLOAs) and turned over farm-to-market roads worth P100 million and P17.5 million worth of farm machinery to nine agrarian reform beneficiary groups.

Marcos emphasized his commitment to completing the land distribution program within his term to fulfill a 30-year promise made by previous administrations, distributing PHP509.45 million worth of support services interventions in Eastern Visayas.

The President also distributed additional certificates covering about 3,000 hectares of land in central Visayas under an agrarian emancipation law he signed in 2022.

Domingo Padao, a 79-year-old farmer from Calubian, Leyte, expressed his joy after waiting for 23 years to receive his individual land title.
