Marcos urges unity among new leaders for common good

Marcos emphasized that issues such as inflation, jobs, and corruption require unity among elected officials and cited a quote from his father, former President Ferdinand Marcos Sr., to underscore the importance of national unity.

The President expressed gratitude to all Filipinos who voted in the 2025 midterm elections, highlighting the peaceful and orderly conduct of the voting process.

Marcos acknowledged supporters of the Alyansa Para Sa Bagong Pilipinas candidates and extended respect to those who ran for office but did not win, encouraging them to continue serving their country beyond electoral outcomes.

As of Tuesday's latest count, six of the 12 leading senatorial candidates are from the administration-backed Alyansa para sa Bagong Pilipinas.
