Marcos urges responsible voting for clean elections

President Ferdinand R. Marcos Jr. urged Filipinos to vote responsibly and protect the integrity of the May 12 elections in a video message.

Marcos emphasized that voting is both a right and duty, encouraging citizens to use their voices for change and choose candidates with integrity, compassion, and genuine capacity to serve.

The President called on voters to respect varying political views but warned against division and violence, urging unity to ensure clean and peaceful elections.

He also urged candidates to respect the process and end the elections with 'integrity and peace'.

With over 68 million registered voters expected to participate in Eleksyon 2025, more than 18,000 positions will be contested.

The Palace declared election day, May 12, a non-working holiday to facilitate voter turnout.
