Marikina completes testing of 5K tricycle drivers

Marikina City completed testing over 5,000 tricycle drivers for COVID-19 ahead of the shift to general community quarantine on June 1.

Only four out of 5,465 tested positive; two are Marikina residents and the other two live in neighboring towns.

The city also tested workers from its shoe industry and factories, with only one worker testing positive for COVID-19.

Mayor Marcelino Teodoro vowed to continue mass testing to prevent an increase in cases once Metro Manila transitions to general community quarantine.
