Magnolia secures PBA playoff spot, beats NorthPort 106-97

Magnolia secured their quarterfinals berth by defeating NorthPort 106-97 in the PBA Season 49 Philippine Cup match on Saturday at Candon City Arena.

Paul Lee contributed significantly to Magnolia's victory with a crucial 10-point performance late in the fourth quarter, while Aris Dionisio added back-to-back three-pointers to seal the win.

Zav Lucero led Magnolia with a standout performance of 20 points, eight rebounds, and three steals; Ding Lee also made key contributions off the bench with 16 points.

Magnolia improved their record to 7-1 for the season after their first loss against Rain or Shine, regaining sole possession of the top spot in the league.

William Navarro led NorthPort with a strong game of 27 points and 13 rebounds, but it wasn't enough as Magnolia rallied late in the fourth quarter to secure their victory.
