Magnificent 7 backs PUVMP but calls for 'just transition'

Several national transport groups, known as the Magnificent 7, renewed their support for the government's Public Utility Vehicle Modernization Program (PUVMP) on Friday.

The coalition emphasized the need for a 'just transition' that would benefit PUV operators, drivers, and commuters while assuring there will be no phase-out of traditional jeepneys by December 31.

They urged PUV drivers and operators to comply with the modernization program and take advantage of new transportation technology.
