Cebu PUV riders comply with 'no face shield, no ride' policy

On Saturday, August 15, a 'no face shield, no ride' policy for public utility vehicle (PUV) passengers was implemented in Cebu.

The Land Transportation Office (LTO)-7 and the Land Transportation Franchising and Regulatory Board (LTFRB)-7 conducted joint operations to monitor compliance with the Department of Transportation's directive.

On the first day, LTO-7 reported that 90% of PUV passengers wore both face masks and shields.

By Monday, August 17, LTFRB-7 Director Eduardo Montealto Jr. noted almost 100 percent compliance among Cebu commuters.
