Ambo intensifies, raises Signal No. 1 in Samar

Tropical Storm Ambo intensified over the Philippine Sea, raising Signal No. 1 in parts of Eastern Samar and Northern Samar on May 13.

Ambo's maximum winds increased to 85 km/h with gustiness up to 105 km/h, expected to strengthen further into a severe tropical storm and typhoon as it approaches Eastern Visayas-Bicol area.

PAGASA warned of possible flash floods or landslides due to moderate to heavy rains in Catanduanes, Albay, Sorsogon, Masbate by Thursday.

Eastern Visayas will experience cloudy skies with scattered rainshowers and thunderstorms on May 13.
