LPA brings scattered rains, thunderstorms over Visayas, Mindanao

A Low Pressure Area (LPA) will bring scattered to widespread rains and thunderstorms over parts of Visayas, Mindanao, Bicol Region, and Eastern Samar.

PAGASA warns that flash floods or landslides may occur during moderate to heavy rains in these areas.

The LPA was located 30 kilometers east of Borongan City, Eastern Samar as of Wednesday afternoon.

Scattered light to moderate with at times heavy rainshowers are expected over Southern Quezon, Romblon, Marinduque, northern Palawan, Zamboanga Peninsula, Bangsamoro, SOCCSKSARGEN, Northern Mindanao, and CARAGA.

Partly cloudy skies with isolated rain showers or thunderstorms may prevail in other parts of Visayas and Mindanao due to the Intertropical Convergence Zone (ITCZ) and Southwesterly Windflow.
