LPA enters PAR, may become TD Bising in 24 hours

A Low Pressure Area (LPA) entered the Philippine Area of Responsibility on Tuesday afternoon with a high potential to develop into Tropical Depression Bising within 24 hours, prompting PAGASA to issue an advisory.

As of Wednesday morning, the LPA was located at 235 kilometers east of Echague, Isabela or 200 kilometers east northeast of Casiguran, Aurora and has a high potential to develop into a tropical cyclone in the next 24 hours.

PAGASA warned that rain will be heaviest on Wednesday in parts of Northern Luzon with scattered rain and thunderstorms expected in Cagayan Valley, Cordillera Administrative Region, Ilocos Region, Aurora, and Nueva Ecija.

Hoisting of Tropical Cyclone Wind Signal #1 is likely over the eastern sections of northern and central Luzon as soon as the LPA develops into a cyclone due to its close proximity to land.

PAGASA advises that areas affected by these weather systems should watch out for flash floods and landslides as moderate to heavy rains are possible.
