Habagat brings rains over PH, flash floods warned

The southwest monsoon (habagat) will bring rains over Metro Manila, Luzon, western and central Visayas, northern Mindanao, Zamboanga Peninsula, and BARMM on Friday.

PAGASA warns of possible flash floods or landslides in areas experiencing moderate to heavy rainfall.

Zambales, Bataan, Palawan, and Mindoro will have monsoon rains with potential for flash floods or landslides.

Scattered rain and thunderstorms are expected across the rest of Luzon and Visayas, while isolated rain showers or thunderstorms may occur in parts of Mindanao.

A low-pressure area (LPA) outside the Philippine Area of Responsibility is drawing the southwest monsoon; it will move west-northwest toward Hainan and Vietnam with maximum winds of 55 kph and gusts up to 70 kph.
