AFP officials test negative for COVID-19

Armed Forces spokesman Major General Edgard Arevalo, Defense Secretary Delfin Lorenzana, and AFP chief General Felimon Santos Jr. all tested negative for COVID-19 after being exposed to a staff member who tested positive.

Lorenzana placed himself in self-quarantine on Tuesday upon learning that his aide had contracted the virus, while Arevalo also remains under home quarantine despite testing negative.

Vice Admiral Giovanni Bacordo of the Navy is still awaiting his test results following potential exposure during an event where a Navy officer later tested positive for COVID-19.
