Lorenzana backs mandatory COVID-19 vaccination

Defense Secretary Delfin Lorenzana supports making COVID-19 vaccination mandatory.

Lorenzana, who chairs the National Task Force Against COVID-19, said everyone should contribute to community health by getting vaccinated.

He added that unvaccinated individuals are more vulnerable to severe illness and can spread the virus, burdening healthcare resources.

Cabinet Secretary Karlo Nograles noted President Duterte has yet to decide on mandatory vaccination but mentioned the Omicron variant as a potential influencing factor.
