Manila implements granular lockdowns amid rising cases

Manila Mayor Isko Moreno has implemented granular hard lockdowns in two barangays and two buildings due to an alarming rise in COVID-19 cases.

As of Thursday, Manila had 1,206 active cases with Sampaloc district accounting for 206 infections.

The mayor assured that the city still has enough resources and facilities to address the situation.

Residents in the locked-down areas are prohibited from going outside their homes but essential workers and health personnel are exempted.
