UE's Wello Lingolingo and Ateneo's Kacey dela Rosa named Collegiate Press Corps Players of the Week

Wello Lingolingo of the University of the East (UE) and Kacey dela Rosa from Ateneo have been recognized as the Collegiate Press Corps Players of the Week for their outstanding performances in the UAAP Season 87 men's and women's basketball tournaments.

Lingolingo, known for his buzzer-beater against Adamson that secured a fifth-straight win for UE, averaged 11.5 points with 67% shooting from the field and three-point line, grabbed 3.5 rebounds, and recorded 3.0 steals in back-to-back victories.

Dela Rosa led Ateneo to a strong finish in the first round of the women's tournament with consistent double-double performances, averaging 20 points and 13 rebounds per game.

Both players have been key contributors to their teams' Final Four contention, with Lingolingo helping UE secure third place and Dela Rosa contributing to Ateneo’s fourth-place standing.
