Senators urge LGUs to integrate social distancing in Ambo evacuations

Senator Sherwin Gatchalian and Senator Sonny Angara have urged local government units to ensure social distancing and hygiene measures in evacuation centers due to Typhoon Ambo.

Gatchalian emphasized the importance of keeping evacuees safe from both natural disaster risks and the spread of COVID-19, while Angara stressed integrating coronavirus protocols into contingency plans for the incoming storm.

Both senators called for permanent evacuation centers equipped with proper health measures to prevent disease transmission.
