IATF orders LGUs to identify govt facilities for quarantine

The Inter-Agency Task Force for the Management of Emerging Infectious Diseases (IATF-EID) has directed all local government units (LGUs) and government-owned and controlled corporations (GOCCs) to identify government facilities that can be temporarily converted into quarantine or isolation areas.

Cabinet Secretary Karlo Nograles, acting as IATF-EID spokesperson, announced the directive during a virtual press conference on Friday night.

The Department of the Interior and Local Government will issue guidelines for the use of these facilities.
