SK Knights force Game 5 with comeback win

Carl Tamayo and the Changwon LG Sakers are one win away from claiming the Korean Basketball League (KBL) title after defeating Juan Gomez de Liaño and the Seoul SK Knights with a score of 80-63 on Friday, May 9.

However, in Game 4 on Sunday, May 11, the SK Knights staged a dramatic comeback to defeat the LG Sakers by a blowout score of 73-48 at Changwon Gymnasium, ending any chance of a sweep for Changwon.

Facing elimination, Seoul's defense stifled Changwon, holding Tamayo to just 7 points and limiting his team’s shooting efficiency to 24% from both two-point and three-point areas.

Despite his struggles in Game 4, Tamayo remains focused on helping LG secure the championship and is a strong contender for Finals MVP honors based on his earlier performances in the series.

With this win, Seoul now aims to extend their series further when they host Game 5 at Jamsil Student Gymnasium on Tuesday, May 13, at 6 pm Manila time.
