SJ Belangel proud of KBL stars JD Cagulangan, Carl Tamayo

SJ Belangel expressed his pride and happiness for JD Cagulangan and Carl Tamayo, who are excelling in the Korean Basketball League.

Belangel, a former Ateneo de Manila University standout, shared his sentiments at the NBA Rising Stars Invitational Philippine Qualifiers in Araneta Coliseum, emphasizing the importance of representing the country well.

Cagulangan and Tamayo were Belangel's rivals during their college days but now they are shining in the KBL with Cagulangan winning Rookie of the Year honors.

Belangel praised Tamayo for his performance, calling him the MVP of the 2024-25 KBL season despite being one win away from clinching the title.

SJ Belangel's team, Daegu KOGAS Pegasus, advanced to the quarterfinals but lost to Cagulangan's Suwon KT Sonicboom in five games.

Belangel said he had already adjusted and improved his condition for this season, focusing on building his body and performance while representing the Philippines.
