Lacuna, Servo file COCs, vow good governance

Manila Mayor Honey Lacuna and Vice Mayor Yul Servo filed their certificates of candidacy (COCs) at SM City Manila Cinema 12 on Thursday between 10 a.m. and noon, vowing to continue providing good governance focused on delivering basic services to the city's most vulnerable residents, particularly senior citizens.

The two officials are running under the Asenso Manileño party, pledging not to engage in mudslinging and emphasizing their commitment to the social amelioration program which provides monthly financial assistance to various needy sectors.

Incumbent representatives Rolan Valeriano (2nd District), Joel Chua (3rd District), Irwin Tieng (5th District), and Bienvenido Abante (6th District) are also seeking reelection, while Giselle Maceda, wife of the term-limited 4th District Representative Edward Maceda, will run to replace him.

Former 1st District Representative Manny Lopez is making a comeback under the Lacuna-Servo tandem, adding strength to their campaign for the May 2025 midterm elections.
