Senators urge Duque leave amid DOH probe

Health Secretary Francisco Duque III should take a leave of absence or at least be investigated by the Ombudsman for alleged irregularities in the DOH's COVID-19 response, Senators Gatchalian and Lacson said.

Senator Gatchalian believes that Duque's absence would not hinder pandemic efforts as much work is being handled by the National Task Force Against COVID-19.

Senators Bong Go and Lacson welcomed the Ombudsman's decision to investigate Duque and other health officials, emphasizing the need for transparency and accountability.
