Lady Spikers defeat Lady Bulldogs, end undefeated streak

The Lady Spikers defeated the Lady Bulldogs, 32-30, 14-25, 25-22, 25-21, in their second-round match of the 2024 Shakey's Super League Collegiate Pre-season Championship on Sunday.

Led by Amie Provido and rookie Mikole Reyes, La Salle ended NU’s undefeated streak and claimed a crucial victory that boosted its chances for a twice-to-beat quarterfinal advantage.

Rookie setter Mikole Reyes paced the team with 16 excellent sets and two points, while veteran player Noel Orcullo guided the Lady Spikers to their first win against NU since 2022.

Amie Provido had nine points and rookie Amie Reterta added seven points in a grueling match that saw Canino and Belen trade errors for a 30-all deadlock before Canino clinched the set with a back row hit.
