King scores 33, grabs 19 in Blackwater's win over Ginebra

George King made his debut for Blackwater and led them to a crucial 95-88 victory over Barangay Ginebra in the PBA Governors' Cup on Friday.

King, who replaced Ricky Ledo after only one day of practice, scored 33 points with 19 rebounds, helping Blackwater secure its first win of the season and improve their record to 1-4 in Group B games.

Coach Jeff Cariaso expressed satisfaction with King's performance, calling it a 'blessing' for the team despite initial plans to sign Cameron Clark.

King's contributions were crucial, particularly his two four-point shots in the third quarter that helped create separation from Ginebra.

Justin Brownlee led Ginebra with 37 points while Japeth Aguilar added 17 points and 11 rebounds for the team, which fell to a record of 1-2.
