Blackwater beats Phoenix 123-111 in PBA Governors' Cup

Blackwater ended its losing streak in the PBA Governors' Cup with a 123-111 victory over Phoenix on Tuesday at the Araneta Coliseum in Quezon City.

George King and rookie Sedrick Barefield led Blackwater's efforts, scoring 44 points and grabbing 13 rebounds, and adding 32 points respectively.

Phoenix import Brandon Francis put up a formidable performance with 45 points, 10 rebounds, and eight assists but it wasn't enough to secure the win for his team.

Blackwater coach Jeffrey Cariaso praised King's effort in matching both Francis' energy and defensive contributions.

With this win, Blackwater aims to extend its winning streak against NLEX on Friday, while Phoenix will face Barangay Ginebra next.
