Kiko Pangilinen undecisive on political alignment

Senator Kiko Pangilinen has yet to make a final decision on his political alignment in the Senate, despite speculation that he and Senator Bam Aquino are joining the majority bloc led by Senate President Chiz Escudero.

Pangilinen and Aquino have been discussing their options with supporters since May, emphasizing their commitment to fighting hunger and addressing issues like high food prices, regardless of their final decision on July 28.

Former Senate president Franklin Drilon clarified that both senators are pursuing changes in the majority bloc to champion their priority sectors, such as education for Aquino and agriculture for Pangilinen.

Senator Risa Hontiveros expressed no sense of betrayal and assured supporters that discussions are ongoing without any final decisions made yet, while emphasizing her focus on strengthening the opposition inside and outside the Senate.

Pangilinen reiterated his commitment to fighting hunger and poverty regardless of partisanship in Congress, stating that he will never abandon these causes.
