Hontiveros undeterred by allies' potential shift to Senate majority

Senator Risa Hontiveros said she feels no sense of betrayal amid reports that her allies, Senators Bam Aquino and Kiko Pangilinan, may join the Senate majority.

Hontiveros emphasized that she will continue to strengthen the opposition both inside and outside the Senate regardless of political alliances.

She noted that all senators must be accountable for their decisions regarding whether to align with the majority or remain in the minority.

On July 28, during the opening session, each senator will decide which bloc they will join: the majority, the minority, or an independent status.

Hontiveros remains open to various options and stressed that her primary task is to benefit the opposition and give it a fighting chance in the 2028 elections.
