JTF-Bicolandia demands NPA surrender members responsible for Absalon deaths

JTF-Bicolandia is demanding that the New People's Army (NPA) surrender the members responsible for the landmine blast that killed college football player Kieth Absalon and his relative in Masbate City.

The JTF-Bicolandia commander, Major General Henry Robinson Jr., stated on June 9 that a surrender would demonstrate genuine remorse from the communist rebels.

Robinson emphasized that 'the Absalons do not deserve a mere apology; they deserve justice.'.

On Sunday, an NPA attack killed Absalon, 21, and his relative Nolven.

The Communist Party of the Philippines (CPP) and the NPA have expressed regret for the incident, attributing it to 'errors of an NPA unit.'.
