Pasig completes vaccination of all seniors

Pasig City completed vaccinating all eligible senior citizens on Thursday, making it the first locality to achieve full coverage.

The city vaccinated a total of 44,703 seniors through registration and house-to-house campaigns.

Mayor Vico Sotto highlighted that seniors are a high-risk group for COVID-19 and thus prioritized for vaccination.

Pasig also administered Johnson & Johnson's single-dose Janssen vaccine to five residents in a ceremonial event attended by local officials and DOH representatives.

In Tacloban, the arrival of J&J vaccines increased senior citizen vaccinations from less than 400 last week to nearly 1,500 as of Wednesday.
